Who are you beyond the noise?
Beyond the Noise is an interactive multi-sensory experience that confronts, challenges, and redefines perceptions of beauty, aging, and self, and inspires personal reflection and connection.
Beyond the Noise explores the profound impacts of societal standards on personal identity through an interactive digital narrative installation. Structured on the stages of a rite of passage—separation, liminality, and reintegration—the audiovisual installation invites you to navigate experiences that mirror life's transformative processes.
The Artists
-
Samar is an XR designer, creative director, multimedia producer and concept developer for print, web, motion and XR. She is also a copywriter, editor, translator, OSINT/digital researcher, and artist. A Canadian/Egyptian based in Germany, she has 25+ years of experience developing and producing ideas for international clients in a variety of sectors including film, television, architecture, agriculture, art, and science. Samar holds a MA in Digital Narratives. She is passionate about transforming complexity into engaging experiences that inspire reflection and transformation for social change. For her, changing the world begins with the personal story, with an understanding of how our own narrative, perspective and mindset affect and shape our environments. Her practice-based research explores transitions, liminality and liminal design, growth transformation processes, cultural heritage, educational development, and learning. Keen to share and collaborate with others in a creative and inspiring environment, Samar believes play, curiosity, joy, and awe are essential to creating experiences that foster personal and social connection. That and music, coffee, and kind people.

Paula Rusu is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, who spends an unhealthy amount of time at home, in front of her laptop and graphics tablet, much to the concern of her friends and family. In her first few years of her freelancing journey, one of her biggest goals was to create beautiful work. Over the past years, though, beauty has been dethroned by meaning, which has become her ultimate professional goal: creating simple, idea-based, meaningful work, that strikes a chord in its audience.

With a background in various countries and languages, Andreea has previously worked as a video journalist for Cafébabel in Paris and a film trainer and reporter in Slovenia. Now freelancing in Romania, she focuses on video editing, sound engineering and sound design.
